We used to have our Pukeatua School annual picnic at Karapiro…. sack races, swimming, lolly scrambles and Mrs Irwin’s bacon and egg pie. Beware Mrs xxx’s curried eggs! My only chance to eat pork sausages – we always had beef at home!
