I am rather fond of some animals – notably those current and former inhabitants of Tikorangi in Taranaki. It’s a family thing; the history, the character and the stories told and retold are part of the daily life of this family of people and fur folk. Recording them as I record regular folk always seems the done thing. Case in point Buffy (of .. vampire slayer .. of course) who sadly passed away last year. MoreSpike. Spike who bears an uncanny resemblance to Snoopy’s bro Spike (fedora, pencil mustache – lives in the desert) has had an interesting life – there are many, many stories.
