One of hundreds of mini tutorials by Salman Khan. Enjoy. Website & the YouTube channel. And another.
The Future of Publishing – created by DK (UK)
Smart and just a tad clever in a PR sort of way. Nice idea though – here is another (this one is a time waster!!) – BoomShakalaka.

Cambridge Waikato Region New Zealand
from YouTube
Not quite sure where this sprang from. There are no details with the clip. An advert for the pink church perhaps? A nice try – pitched to the traveller. The almost English comment a move in the right direction but missing in action dairying and rather oddly our many cafés and restaurants.
Secure Yourself – Indigo Girls
Moon in Google Earth
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Yes, I know it’s an ad, but it is cool
And I like this as well: Light-Test.com

Sorting out Vimeo embeds
If in doubt read the instructions – even if they happen to be a little hard to find – these are so easy to follow once found. Asking the correct question – using the correct term – also helps. There is a Vimeo short code for WordPress.com. Duh!

On water pontoons Maadi 2009
Very briefly. 2:36PM 02/04/2009. Also on Monday morning Bethlehem College flags. Both filmed with the Canon G10 and uploaded as is. I think the quality would be much improved if I could find the appropriate codec to convert the file to .avi). Any thoughts? – I am currently stumped. I’ll stick with stills.
Maadi 2009 Bethlehem College
Bethlehem College flags Maadi 2009 Lake Karapiro. (Canon G10 experiment edited in camera uploaded raw – a bit rough I’m afraid – can’t find the correct codec to make a better version at the mo.).

Canon G10
The Canon G10 has it’s detractors yet is a joy to use. This cropped portion of the image below – actually the image taken directly afterwards from the same postion/POV – gives an idea of its potential. A photographer’s camera they say. On the NZ market somewhere in the $900.00 range. BTW, I love the look and feel of it.
Praise You – Fatboy Slim
How come I have missed this for so long? The story outlined at Wikipedia. Cool.
The Simpsons – Mapple Store
A Prairie Home Companion
Have I said how much I enjoy this insight into American life. A Prairie Home Companion is homely, witty and at times most irreverent. And the music is wonderful. You can catch recent episodes on Radio New Zealand (weekends) and the latest stuff online.

Robert Johnson Sweet Home Chicago
Wonderful to hear this adaptation (Segment 1: start 08:25) of Robert Johnson’s Sweet Home Chicago just now, on NatRad, with Garrison Keillor on lead vocals. And then “They’re Red Hot” too much!
The original with some interesting footage – from YouTube.
