Mōrena mai roto Karapiro, Waipa, Waikato, Te Ika a Maui

Karapiro on the TV this morning, but, I’m not quite sure why here in weather forecast terms is Kirikiriroa. Kirikiriroa aka Hamilton is a good 25 kms away downstream or north-west - take your pick – must have something to do with the concept main centre – we know better of course. Impressed with the use of Te Reo in naming the rohe – I have this feeling I’m missing something here – I mean this is breakfast television.
