Cambridge Antiques Cricket Club walk on to No 1 Oval at St Peter’s School Cambridge New Zealand, after lunch on this Sunday afternoon, the 7th of February 2010, to defend their 181 run innings against visitors the Onehunga Mallers. Golden Oldies Cricket – played worldwide – has some 15 teams competing in our region from Dargaville north of Auckland to Taupo in the south. In 2010 club members are involved in the 2010 Parliament and Celebrity Cricket MatchCelebrating 140 years of Cricket in Cambridge – on Sunday the 28th of February at Victoria Square Cambridge – and the 2010 Golden Oldies Cricket Festival at Harrogate England in August. Cambridge Antiques’ next match, a home game, will be on Sunday the 21st of February at Victoria Square Cambridge against Rotorua’s Geyserland Googlies. This afternoon the Onehunga Mallers came home in 32 overs, to win the limited over match, with 182 runs for the loss of six wickets. There are a few more photos here.
